Company history

  1. Foundation IMS Robotics GmbH

Graduate engineers Jens Bauer and Bernd Ciesla opened an engineering office in Ottendorf-Okrilla in 1992. Together with five employees, they initially concentrated on special machine construction in the field of packaging machines.

  2. Reorientation

An inquiry from a local sewer cleaning company steers the company's interest in a new direction. The development of sewer cleaning robots begins. The result: the first IMS sewer cleaning robot FR150. Over the following years, the focus is increasingly directed towards environmental technology.

  3. Special development contract, new shareholder joined IMS

IMS Robotics now has 20 employees. The continuing positive development of the business sector: sewer cleaning robots and environmental technology, enables the expansion of national and international sales. Ljubisa Zlatkovic takes over 50 percent of the company shares.

  4. From house connection to main sewer

After founder Jens Bauer retires, Ljubisa Zlatkovic becomes the sole shareholder and managing director of IMS Robotics GmbH. With the sale of the first DRIVE main sewer milling machine, the company opens up new areas of application. After the foundation of IMS Robotics International GmbH, this company acts as the sales company for the North American and Asian markets.

  5. Expansion of the product range

With the purchase of "Jenni Umwelttechnik AG" in Switzerland, IMS Robotics secures all rights to their UV systems. With this know-how the foundation is laid to enter the development of curing systems.

  6. Continuous expansion

ILZ GmbH becomes part of the IMS Group. By establishing its own machining company, IMS Robotics GmbH ensures that its own needs are covered in the long term. A further cooperation agreement with the Polish software development company Alpha Logic Spzoo, aims at the development of the software interface for the IMS milling machines.
