IMS Day 2021 – IMS Robotics Group introduces itself
After almost two years, the IMS Robotics Group organized the IMS Day for the first time at the Erlwein Forum in Dresden on September 23rd, 2021. The product and service portfolio as well as the IMS Robotics Group were presented to more than 120 visitors using specialist lectures and product presentations on site.
"We are very pleased that our IMS Day received such a great response. We were able to fully achieve our goal of showing both the diversity of the industry and the range of products and services offered by IMS," says Konstantin Wolf, Sales Manager at IMS Robotics GmbH. He also emphasizes: "The presentations, which in terms of content addressed technical developments such as e-milling technology, digitalization in underground infrastructure and the growing demands on our technical solutions, were exciting and informative for all visitors."
Many different stations gave guests the opportunity to obtain information and experience the products in use. At the house connection station, visitors were able to test and actively try out creeping and climbing in DN 100, pushing in 2 x 90° bends in DN 100 and milling open side inlets (lined) in DN 125. The possibility to mill different material out of pipe sections with different main sewer milling machines was given at the main sewer station. The DRIVEplus was used for milling stoneware in DN 300, the TURBO E for milling concrete in DN 300 and the TURBO 4 for setting an UV hat.
In addition, an UV station was on site where the guests could inform themselves about the entire UV range such as the UV 12000 Compact, the UV 7800 and the matching light sources. In the equipment park, a few selected devices from the house connection and main channel areas were on display, e.g. the satellite system, DRIVE 2 and NANOeasy, among others. Other demonstrations showed how the new WIPERcam works during inspections and the house connection device MICROpremium flex plus CLEANER.
More than ten member companies of the IMS Robotics Group as well as partners F. Willich GmbH & Co. KG and Boldan Oy from Finland participated in this year's IMS Day. "Over the past years, IMS has always strived to be able to provide customers and give prospects with a complete offering. This has resulted in a growth strategy that includes participation in companies that are established in the market," explains Daniel Wischmann, technical operations manager at IMS Robotics.
An important step in this direction was taken with the investment in Hurricane Trenchless Technologie GmbH. The full-range supplier has built up a name for itself on the market in a short time with its innovative products in the field of sewer rehabilitation and underground infrastructure, its agile development approaches and, last but not least, its very efficient production. "This impressed the IMS Group and led them to take the step of entering into this partnership. We are very much looking forward to shaping the future with Hurricane and developing further together," Wolf and Tomas Möller, managing directors and founder of Hurricane Trenchless Technologie GmbH, emphasized in unison.
